After watching the news last night it got me thinking. The MLB union shot down the NBA star from throwing first pitch, finally relented under pressure. The NFLPA wants to slow HGH testing the owners want , which I believe to be fair as a employer wanting a drug free workplace. The Police Union is suing my city because they have to lay off employees due to lack of funds. What were unions created for?
My Grandfather Joe died of Black Lung from working in the mines , as did my uncles all immigrants from Lithuania and needing work . I understand unions for them. I have family who works for FORD and understand why that started. Safety, fair hiring, fair wages are good reasons for a union. Now these unions are special interests groups used today from unions as a bully almost extortion to employers.
This is my opinion , which may be wrong but, I dont care its my opinion. People died to get a union lost family , limbs , homes , and chances for a future. Not because thier employer makes too much and they want more and more money. Or because being part of a union means if your arrested , caught cheating , want a raise , want to disagree with the owner of your company you can sue for a change. Seems like extortion to me.
So My wife and I are heading to Disney for our Birthdays this August. However I realise part of our trip is to do what we normally cannot do. This will be our first time at Disney without Parents, our kids, our classmates. I find myself wondering what have I been missing.
The Disney weekend for couples? I am excited we are staying at the Swan and goin to Epcot our first day our favorite park. Then wandering to the studios. I really pride myself on planning a family day at WDW. However no stroller free to do what we want, kind of throws me for a loop. Anyone else ever have this feelong was a bit surprising to wonder what am I missing out on .

My favorite Memory is when I first got to eat at King Stephen’s at Cinderellas Castle and order off Adult menu. Watching Fireworks through stained glass with my family. My favorite Resort I have only stayed at All Stars usually stay off property wish I could stay at Contemporary!!
My Family and I went to Star wars weekend knowing it would be busy ,it would be hot , and it we would probably not get much done as far as rides etc..
I was so wrong. This past weekend was one of the best weekends we have had since having our annual passes! We met Star Wars Characters and rode the new Star Tours ride. Also learning alot about our kids and fast passes.
We tried a new plan of leaving for park later in day and seeeingf if the kids would make it to later in the day possibly to see fireworks. This brought on many problems. No Fast passes for toy story star wars available for 930 pm I thought we screwed up completely. But, we waited two hours for Chewbacca made my wife and kids happy. I met a few castmembers who would come to be very interesting later. We did Muppets which my kids do enjoy alot. We ate at a new spot which was great because of free refills of soda or tea. The kids had to do Toy Story which was a 100 minute wait. But, a family in front of us could not use thier fast passes for Star wars which were for a hour before ours kicked in. The spirited Star wars cantina band members gave us fast passes earlier for about the same time 900 pm. So we rode 3 times in a row at closing all with fast passes! I had to ride by myself because our daughter felll asleep after 2nd ride. But, by myself I sat with these Castmembers I met earlier trading pins. Saturday was a success!
Sunday we were hoping for better luck with the fast pass system. My brother and Uncle met us there at rope drop. we made the usual run to toy Story however apparently parked open earlier Sunday because Fast Pases already were at 11 am ! We took The passes waited a hour standby as well. My brother said at bottom of fast passes that we can get another one in 2 hours. I never knew that in all the podcasts I listen to , X at Disney, or from others. So we got Tower of Terror because we could do a kid swap and Rockin Rolelr Coaster. We usuually cannot Kid Swapo as me and The wife prefer to be together and not ride alone. I found out My 3 year old could ride Tower!!! She was excited as me to ride it. She loved it we rode it 3 times as wait was pretty short.

So as my family and I were riding Universe of Energy, We spotted a familiar face. The Dinorama area of the ride to your left is Jar Jar Binks. Actually, theres 2 of them standibg side by side. I tried to get a picture but it was too dark. Has anyone else seen this?
